If you're paid late, European law is already on your side

Directive 2011/7/EU entitles you — with no prior demand needed — to interest at the ECB rate plus 8 points and a flat €40 per invoice paid outside the agreed term. Almost nobody claims it, because almost nobody knows how to work it out. This calculator does, and shows where every figure comes from.

The Fair Engagement Pledge

Four checkable commitments: payment within 30 days, a written engagement before work starts, no clauses shifting risks the freelancer can't control, and a real route to raise a dispute. Companies that sign appear in a public directory.

The association

An association, not a campaign

Beyond Work MTÜ is incorporated as a mittetulundusühing in Tallinn. Its statutes forbid distributing profit and require every euro of income to serve the stated purpose. We publish the statutes, the governing body and the funding.
